read_note
Read a note
Reads only
Description
What the model reads, word for word:
Reads a note by its path and returns its frontmatter and body.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
path |
string |
yes | The note to read, as a path relative to the vault root, for example “projects/apollo/plan.md”. |
from_line |
integer |
First line to read, counting from 1. Leave it out to start at the top. search_notes gives you line numbers to aim with. At least 1. | |
to_line |
integer |
Last line to read. Leave it out to read to the end, or as far as one answer goes. At least 1. | |
heading |
string |
Read only the section under this heading, down to the next heading of the same or a higher level, for example “Open Questions” or “3. Timeline”. Without the #s. Instead of from_line and to_line, not together with them. | |
repo |
"handbook" | "projects" |
yes | The repository this call works in. One of the repositories the person can read; the values above are Acme’s. |
Result
As structuredContent and, the same, as a text block.
